Fillings
Fillings help restore the function and appearance of a tooth that is damaged or decayed. Fillings are most commonly used to treat a cavity.
Root Canal
When a toothache strikes, a visit to the dentist can’t come fast enough. Root canal treatment provides an option to eliminate pain and infection and save a seemingly hopeless tooth.
Pulpal Therapy
Pulpal therapy is a pediatric dental treatment used to treat and preserve a child’s natural tooth that has been affected by an injury or tooth decay. The pulp is soft tissue located inside the teeth. When a tooth becomes damaged or decayed, the pulp may be exposed to bacteria, causing infection and pain. Rather than extract the tooth entirely, the infected pulp may be removed and replaced with a filler that prevents bacteria from further damaging the tooth.
Crowns
A dental crown is a “cap” that covers an imperfect or damaged tooth, with the purpose of improving the tooth’s appearance and functionality.
There are a variety of uses for crowns including:
- Protection of a decaying tooth or cracked tooth
- Restoring a fracture
- Restoring a tooth that is worn down
- Improving esthetics of a tooth
- Restoring a dental implant
- Restoring a tooth after a root canal.
Many patients can’t tell the difference between their crown and original teeth.
Oral Surgery/ Simple Extractions
Regular Tooth Extraction: A tooth that has fully erupted through the gum line can usually be removed as easily as any other tooth via a regular extraction.
Surgical Tooth Extraction and Oral Surgery: A wisdom tooth or other tooth that is impacted or is still under the gum line or embedded in the jaw bone may require a surgical extraction, which is a form of oral surgery.
